Recently a Maxthon titled window keeps appearing on my desktop with the following message: "WriteSecurityFile Failed" What does this mean and how do I remedy the problem? I believe my Maxthon Browser is 1.x but I'm not sure? How can I verify? Patricia Erb |

It either means that you (indirectly through either a plugin or other Maxthon feature) are trying to write to a location that is not accessible with your current privilieges (Limited User Account?) or a non-existing location. To verify your version you can go to Help > About ..., which is the default location for most any program. (only in rare occasions is this option not present) |
